Meet Dr. John Rogers, Your White Rock / South Surrey Dentist

John Rogers, DDS grew up in St. Catharines, Ontario. He went to dental school at the University of Toronto, graduating with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at age 23. He was the fifth youngest in a class of 122 students. In 1983, Dr. Rogers then went to Canada’s west coast for a year of General Practice Residency at Vancouver General Hospital and the British Columbia Cancer Agency. There, he received additional training in oral surgery, oral pathology, general dentistry, and emergency dentistry.

Dr. Rogers on his Office Philosophy

Dr. Rogers worked in a dental office in Burnaby, BC until 1991, when he moved to Papua New Guinea to serve as the Chief Dental Officer of the Morobe Province. He worked in the main hospital located in Lae, the biggest city in the province, providing dental services. He also supervised a group of dental therapists and worked with smaller dental clinics in other Morobe communities.

In 1992, he returned to Canada and worked in Victoria, BC. He returned to the Lower Mainland in 2005 and took a position in the White Rock Dental Group. After so many travels, Dr. Rogers is finally settled in White Rock. He is a member of the Vancouver and District Dental Society, British Columbia’s oldest and largest dental society. He served as the VDDS president in 2014-15 and currently sits on the board of directors.

Dr. Rogers has been delivering dental care for more than three decades. He loves his job, and he loves helping families get the great smiles they deserve.
